Salon professionals won thousands of dollars worth of prizes and enjoyed an entertaining and informative day of camaraderie at TanToday.com’s End-of-Summer Bash on Tuesday, Aug. 30, 2011.
More than 30 salon owners were eligible for the Grand Prize drawing of a Complete Mobile Spray Kit from the party’s Gold Sponsor, NORVELL (much gratitude, Norvell!). All they had to do was post a response in each of the five Grand Prize Contest Threads, sharing information such as the best decision they’d ever made at their salon, their biggest unexpected salon expense and their first job. Forum members were able to pick up business tips, as well as learning more about each other – whether it was figuring out which moderator used to pick cotton, or which salon owner still has nightmares about her early days as one of Santa’s elves.
Texas-based salon owner Big Al won the drawing for the Grand Prize, as well as several other awards throughout the day. The moderators’ choices for best overall participants of the day were New England-based newer salon owner davidjsmithct (for his enthusiasm and great attitude), as well as the Colorado-based consummate professional CrystalSS, whose quality of content throughout the day was unmatched.
Many thanks also go out to Silver Sponsor Superior UV Technologies, who donated some of the day’s most coveted (and expensive!) prizes – four prize packs of $300 in lamps.
