Jerry Deveney, executive director of sales at JK-North America, announces that the 2011 East Coast Sun Academy Seminar will return to Connecticut and the Mohegan Sun Hotel & Casino. This fast-paced, one-day show on Monday, Sept. 19, will feature the latest prototype Beauty Angel red light units, major industry vendors, educational presentations, event-only sales promotions and, as with all JK shows, a free luncheon and cocktail reception.

Early-bird registration before Monday, Sept. 12, is only $39 per person (or $49 per person after that date). To register for the 2011 East Coast Sun Academy Seminar, get special room rates for the Mohegan Sun or simply for additional information, visit www.jkamerica.com or call toll-free 800.643.0086, ext. 2288.

"JK-North America's regional trade shows set the bar high with as many industry vendors, speaking professionals and tanning information as possible in order to keep salon owners up-to-date on the latest revenue-generating products and ideas," Deveney shares. "After our hugely successful West Coast Tanning Expo, the East Coast Seminar is perfect for salon owners who may have missed Vegas, but still want to get the education and product knowledge necessary for them to run their business as efficiently and profitably as possible. We have taken many of the highlights from the Vegas show and condensed them into an efficient one-day seminar for the upcoming Connecticut show. Featured presenters will include Steve Holt on how your business can benefit from social media, and John R. Farr on how to capitalize on the Internet couponing craze."

The biggest hit at this show is sure to be the Beauty Angel red light units. These were solid hits at the recent JK-North America Expo in Vegas and attendees at the East Coast Sun Academy Seminar can look forward to seeing them up close. Red light products, which are exempt from the tan tax, help generate season-independent revenue for salon owners and are suitable for women and men of all ages and skin types.

Thousands of dollars in cash and prizes will be given away during the East Coast Sun Academy Seminar, including the grand prize of an Ergoline Flair 32/1 (MSRP: $11,010).

Attendees should mark their calendars to arrive on Sunday, Sept. 18 (the day before the event), and be prepared for an amazing trade show experience right from the start. However, hotel space is extremely limited, so it’s recommended that anyone planning to attend should reserve their room(s) as early as possible. The Mohegan Sun boasts more than 300,000 square feet of gaming excitement within three world-class casinos, the Kids Quest/Cyber Quest family entertainment facility, a luxurious day spa and a state-of-the-art Poker Room.
