In news out of Vancouver, British Columbia, the teams at Uvalux Tanning & Support and CanTan Sun Systems are pleased to announce their upcoming merger. The partnership unites two of the market’s leaders and brings together an outstanding support team for the indoor tanning industry.

“Together we hope to provide the best industry knowledge and support to help salon owners grow their business,” says Nik Van Haeren, president of Uvalux. “We proudly welcome Jenn, Rodney and the rest of the talented Can Tan team to our Uvalux family.”

Going forward, Frank Ingham, president of CanTan, will assist during the transition and remain as part of the team on a consultant basis. “After 28 years in the tanning industry, I feel that it is time to step aside in favour of a younger generation that is passionate and poised to lead the tanning industry towards a healthy and profitable future,” Ingham shares. “I wish to thank our clients for their years of support and cooperation.”

The companies believe the new partnership will bring a renewed strength to the industry and guide it in a positive direction for the benefit of salons – helping to ensure a healthy future for all in the Canadian tanning marketplace. “By consolidating our marketing efforts, it allows us to continue our support for the JCTA [Joint Canadian Tanning Association] and grow the industry as a whole in Canada,” Van Haeren affirms.

The Can Tan team will be relocating into the Uvalux West Coast office in Coquitlam in August. This will enable them to provide salons with same-day shipping, customer pick‐ups and the ability to try tanning equipment from Ergoline, Soltron, uwe, Sun Capsule, Mystic Tan and Versa Spa. Also available is a full selection of tanning lotions from Australian Gold, Swedish Beauty, California Tan, Designer Skin, Devoted Creations, Supre, Performance Brands and many others to suit any salon’s needs.
