Heartland Tanning Expo Wows Industry Professionals

It takes more than a foot or two of snow to keep commercial tanning bed and salon experts from attending the wildly popular Heartland Expo. More than 600 industry professionals, including vendors and salon owners, braved the dead of winter to take advantage of Heartland Tanning’s two-day event.

“We are dedicated to beautiful tans year-round, and we know that indoor tanning is important to Heartland customers, regardless of weather conditions outside,” says Greg Henson, CEO of Heartland Tanning. “Considering the turnout, the speakers, presentations and the wide range of venders, this expo was a major success.”

The expo was the series’ grand finale, and participants enjoyed such expo favorites as Heartland’s Famous Garage Sale, where products were available at major discount prices. Expo visitors also were able to attain Smart Tan Certification, Norvell Basic Sunless Certification and Norvell Masters Sunless Certification.

The expo featured presentations on merchandising, marketing and selling strategies, and vendors unveiled new 2011 product lines. Keynote speaker Stephen Underhill informed salon owners and vendors with his presentation, “How to Price Tanning Services to Maximize Income Potential.”

Heartland, a leader in tanning bed supplies, also showcased its newest Tan America equipment.

“Our expos have always been a hit, and this event was no exception,” Henson shares. “We packed the expo with giveaways, raffles and grand-prize drawings, not to mention specials on equipment, lamps, lotions and accessories orders. We look forward to future events, and we know our attendees will, too.”
