According to the Oregon Department of Human Services, by July 1, 2011, all operators of currently registered Oregon tanning facilities must successfully complete a Department-approved tanning training course prior to commencement of tanning operations.
Recently, the state of Oregon named the National Tanning Training Institute (NTTI) as an approved provider of online tanning operator training. As such, salon owners and operators are now allowed to complete NTTI’s online certification course instead of attending an Oregon training class in-person.
