A stabbing victim burst into a Calgary Fabutan Tuesday afternoon seeking help. Covered in blood and looking “horrible,” the man found solace at the hands of a tanning customer – who happened to be a nurse.

The nurse and a salon employee tended to the man in the Village Square Mall business until paramedics arrived. The employee noted the victim appeared to be going into shock, and she and the nurse did their best to keep him calm as they applied pressure to the wounds.

The young man was taken to the hospital, where he later showed signs of stabilizing.

As of press time, police were still researching the stabbing and looking for suspects.
