Twitter is expected to roll out some sleek new features just for business users of the social media site, and blogger Adam Ostrow offers a sneak peek of what’s to come.
Contributors This feature allows multiple users to update one main account using separate log-ins – so no one log-in needs to be shared among many people. This means your Twitter biz account is more secure, as you can add and delete extra users quickly and easily.
Private Messaging with Anyone Soon, users can send you direct messages – that are not made public – whether or not they are following you or vice versa. Whereas in the past, users had to use the @accountname to post a reply – which would show up to all – now direct, and private, contact can be made.
Verified Accounts This feature basically assures that the account holder is who they are claiming to be. This feature has been available to celebrities for a year, and soon it will be extended to businesses.
