Some time after business hours Sunday April 25 – and before opening on Monday April 26, a Clayton, Calif.-based tanning salon was the victim of the city’s largest reported copper cable theft. Almost 200 feet – valued at approximately $10,000 – of cable was stolen from an electrical box behind the salon in the shopping center where it’s located.
Interestingly enough, A Perfect Tan did have power Monday when it opened for business. However, an employee recognized the equipment wasn’t operating at regular power, and the investigation ensued.
As of press time, no arrests had been made and police were still looking for people who may have information about the crime.
