A bill recently signed by the governor of Wyoming will impact tanners and tanning salon owners come this July. Among the new law’s provisions, customers under the age of 18 must have written parental consent before using UV tanning equipment at a salon.
Tanners under the age of 15 require an additional stipulation beyond written consent – their parent or guardian must also be physically present at the salon when the youngster is tanning. Any variation from this is considered a misdemeanor offense.
