Assaults thought to be committed by the same assailant were reported in Myrtle Beach, S.C.-based tanning salons this week. The attacks happened within half an hour of each other. One occurred at Elite Tanning and the other at Ultra Tan. In one of the scenarios, a man allegedly asked the clerk about the salon’s services, then grabbed her. She fled from the store.
Both salons’ female victims are reported to be unharmed, and no motive is known. The assailant is still on the loose.
Last week, police were in the same business complex as one of the salons to investigate blood that was found in the parking lot. It’s unknown whether that case has any relation to the tanning salon incident.
