Low Vit. D Linked To Increased Risk Of Death In Women

In a prospective, population-based study involving 714 community-dwelling women between the ages of 70 and 79 years, low levels of vitamin D were associated with an increased risk of mortality.

During a follow-up with the women 72 months later, women with the lowest levels of vitamin D were found to have the highest risk of mortality in comparison to women with the higest levels of vitamin D.
