Suntan Supply outgrew its warehouse and office locations in St. Cloud, Minn., and Avon, Ohio. So, the company is relocating to a new facility in Sauk Rapids, Minn. (just a few miles east of St. Cloud). Meanwhile, the Avon headquarters is undergoing a complete renovation and warehouse expansion.
A few things to note:
- The new Minnesota location was designed and constructed to meet the eco-friendly LEEDs standards.
- Efficiency is key for both locations to streamline the number of orders in the fulfillment process.
- The Avon facilities, located 20 miles west of Cleveland, are being optimized to provide a lotion distribution center east of the Mississippi—thus cutting shipping costs and transit time to customers in the eastern U.S.
- The Ohio warehouse also houses Suntan Supply’s pre-owned tanning equipment, featured on the Web site, www.usedbeds.org, and Sunwalls modular wall systems.
“We look forward to continued growth,” says President Bill Gallagher. “Suntan Supply has situated itself in a positive position through this expansion. We have increased our customer reach and have tremendous expectations for the upcoming tanning season, and many seasons to come.”
