A new national poll conducted by CNN.com reveals that half of responders (50 percent) support Obama’s heath care reform. Forty-five percent oppose it.

The poll also reveals the difference in opinion is attributed to age: many of those who support the reform are younger Americans, and most of those opposed are senior citizens.

Lawmakers across the nation are in the process of setting up town hall meetings about the topic—and the same poll shows that those opposed are more likely to attend such an event (50 percent versus 39 percent of those who support the reform).

Furthermore, poll results reveal that seven out of 10 Americans believe the current health care system does need restructuring.
