After a 15-year-old girl received a spray tan, two Green County, Ind., two legislators are saying that current law may need to be revised, reports the Greene County Daily World. The issue surrounds the fact that the minor was completely nude while receiving an airbrush spray tan from a male salon owner.
District 45 State Rep. Bruce Borders (R-Jasonville) and District 63 State Rep. Sandy Blanton (D-Orleans) say that minor-aged patrons need to be protected from potential exploitation by an adult. The girl did forge a permission slip from her parent in order to be spray-tanned; however, that requirement was instituted by the salon not the law. Current Indiana statutes do not regulate spray–tanning services.
