If your business is suffering and you are thinking of selling, you may want to reconsider: According to marketplace site BizBuySell.com, the number of small businesses sold in the first quarter of 2009 fell 36 percent in comparison to sales for the same period last year.
In addition, CNNMoney reports that the prices buyers paid for those small business has also taken a nosedive. For sales facilitated by BizBuySell.com, the median sale price dropped 17 percent to $165,500, with a median asking price of $250,000.
