On April 22, the Texas House of Representatives passed a revised version of HB 1310 that seeks to ban anyone under the age of 16-and-a-half from visiting a tanning salon. Now, the bill has been passed to the Texas Senate and the ITA is determined to stop the bill from passing.

The organization is urging all Texas business owners, employees and customers to join the fight. If you and your employees have not already sent a letter, all you have to do is click here to access the ITA’s preformatted letter and enter your name, e-mail address, phone number and organization (business name). Beyond that, you can choose to personalize the letter in the message field or send it as it is. Once you click send, the program will direct the letter to the proper offices.

In addition, the ITA has created a second letter for indoor-tanning consumers—ask your friends and family to access the consumer letter by clicking here.

If you have any questions or want to get more involved, please contact the ITA at 202.367.1142 or admin@theita.com.
