- Currently, California has the highest state budget deficit at $13.8 billion. Montana, North Dakota, Wyoming, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Texas and West Virginia have the lowest deficits—none at all.
- Michigan has the highest unemployment rates at 10.6 percent, while Wyoming has the lowest at 3.4 percent.
- Florida foreclosures are the highest at 7.32 percent; Wyoming’s are the lowest at 0.63 percent.
