According to Steve Slagle, chairman of the board for the Small Business Legislative Council (SBLC), “Small businesses will lead the nation back to a healthy economy if we give them the opportunity to do so.”
In a press release, Slagle went on to say that the “SBLC board has identified its priorities for 2009 and at the top of the list are recommendations that will allow small businesses to do what they do best—create jobs.”
The SBLC’s priorities include investment in a stimulus package, ensuring tax policies help—not harm—small businesses and reforming health care coverage.
