Two Massachusetts brothers are on a mission to teach children about weak bones. Mike Stone, a 23-year-old from Weston, Mass., and his younger brother, Doug, made a documentary to share their story about growing up with vitamin D deficiencies. The documentary was shown to the fifth-grade class at Edward Devotion School in Brookline, Mass.

Catherine Gordon, director of bone health at Children's Hospital Boston, treated both brothers and inspired them to make the documentary to educate the public about the seriousness of vitamin D deficiencies. Gordon wants to spread the message that a vitamin D deficiency puts children at risk for health problems later in life, other than osteoporosis.
