The American Academy of Dermatology has issued a statement in response to the FDA’s Report to Congress about the TAN Act. According to a press release on MarketWatch.com the AAD president says that, though the academy was pleased the FDA took a closer look at the warning label, it still does not agree that a warning label is enough to influence a person’s decision to tan or not. He also said that the AAD hopes the TAN Act inspires stricter legislation and regulation for the indoor-tanning industry.
