ITA Campaign Ad Spot, Press Release Launch

The ITA media campaign is switching into high gear with the launch of a press release as well as the airing of the ITA’s provocative ad spot. The Web sites, www.TrustTanning.com and www.SunlightScam.com, also will go live to accompany these ads.

Please feel free to forward the press release to customers and contacts within the industry who might be interested. You may even want to send it to your local media outlets as a story suggestion. Salon owner Kathe Ray, of Livonia, Mich.-based Absolute Salon & Spa, inspired a reporter to pick up the subject of tanning and vitamin D by forwarding an article on that topic to the Detroit News. (Check out the Bizz Blog for more information on that.)

The ITA also is mailing members a CD-Rom this week, featuring a number of materials you can use to help promote this campaign. Those materials include:

  • Broadcast-quality versions of the commercial that you can personalize with your own tagline and use in your specific market.
  • PDF versions of two print ads (in multiple sizes) that you can place in your local publications, or print for in-store use.
  • PDF versions of positive news clips regarding vitamin D and ITA-generated articles that you can print out to use as customer handouts or post in-store.
  • PDF version of a vitamin D poster for in-store use.
  • PDF version of a public relations communication guide.
