Reminder: The California Indoor Tanning Trade Organization (CITTO) is hosting a free meeting and retreat for tanning professionals on Jan. 26 at the San Luis Obispo Courtyard by Marriott, and the deadline to book rooms under the group rate has been extended.
Reservations under the group room rate of $139 per night for two queen beds or $199 per night for a king suite are available through Jan. 16. To make a reservation, contact the hotel directly at (800) 321-2211, and give them the group number, G1073, and the group ID, GCTO.
The meeting begins at 10 a.m. with a salon panel discussion, featuring industry leaders addressing topics of interest to the California indoor tanning trade. A catered lunch will be served at 11:45 a.m.; CITTO asks that all in attendance contribute to the lunch fund. After lunch, an environmental professional will discuss why lamp recycling is required by law and delve into the specific compliance guidelines, record-keeping and risks of non-compliance. Following that presentation, a professional tanning equipment technician will discuss ways to minimize downtime and maximize tanning results through in-house preventative maintenance of tanning equipment.
