Brigitte Kratz recently was named JK North America Inc.’s new vice president of marketing. Kratz will be responsible for the coordination of group-wide marketing activities for all JK brands and companies as well as the management of new sunbed product and education issues. She also will be charged with supporting and reinforcing the sales function within the United States from a marketing perspective.
"We are very happy that Brigitte has moved to the United States to become a member of our U.S. management team," said Graham Goy, acting president and CEO of JK North America Inc. "With her marketing experience and her intense understanding of the whole company group she will certainly be able to effectively improve the coordination between marketing and sales in the future."
Kratz has worked in the indoor tanning industry for more than five years, but she has had several years of marketing experience with positions held at JK and non-JK companies. In 2000, she joined the German JK organization as international marketing manager working closely with many aspects of their U.S. operations. She created the International Marketing function, which highlighted the different needs of the international markets as far as marketing priorities and new products were concerned.
In 2003, she was named director of strategic business development at JK-Holding where she oversaw various R&D and strategic marketing projects. She also had a strong focus on the U.S. market due to its importance to overall company development.
