The Heartland Tanning seminar, featuring the latest Heartland-manufactured equipment, new products for 2008, education sessions, product giveaways, hands-on demonstrations and more, was a homerun, according to Team Heartland.
The fourth—and largest—in a series of regional tanning expos was held Feb. 1-2 at Heartland’s corporate office in Lee’s Summit, Mo. The expo attracted more than 20 suppliers and more than 1,500 salon owners and employees from around the country.
At the expo, salons took advantage of certification opportunities and educational training by lotion vendors. Other highlights included the California Clothing Co. fashion show, a BBQ lunch and the infamous Heartland garage sale. Additionally, a portion of each ticket was donated to the Susan G. Komen breast cancer awareness foundation.
“We’ve come a long way,” says Greg Henson, CEO of Heartland Tanning, Inc. “When this show started it was just a local event, and now we have put together several of the biggest and best expos in the country, which bring exhibitors and salon and spa professionals together, covering every aspect of the tanning industry.”
The Heartland Tanning Expo has undergone tremendous change and made exciting additions to meet tanning industry needs in the last 16 years. Check the Heartland Web site for future seminars near you.
