TanToday Discussion: Delaware SB 90

06/10/2009

Delaware SB 90—a proposed bill seeking to prevent children under 14 from tanning without a doctor’s permission and enforcing parental consent for those between 14 and 18—is being called the Michelle Rigney Act after a young woman who died from skin cancer.

Since the introduction of the bill, there has been a lot of discussion on TanToday about the fact that those who support it are claiming that Rigney’s skin cancer (and subsequent death) was caused by indoor tanning. Check out the discussion by clicking here.
