Sun Tan City Celebrates 10th Anniversary

Sun Tan City is celebrating its 10th year in the industry.

“I am very excited about the cutting-edge technologies we provide our clients,” says Rick Kueber, owner of Sun Tan City and member of the Indoor Tanning Association. “Sun Tan City prides itself on excellent customer service and extensive knowledge of the industry. We look forward to another successful 10 years of service."

Sun Tan City was founded in 1999 by brothers David and Rick Kueber, who got their start in a movie-rental business called Video Vault. After a while, they started putting tanning beds in the stores to help balance out slow season. Shortly after, they decided to sell the movie-rental company and make a complete switch to indoor tanning.

Based in Elizabethtown, Ky., Sun Tan City is thriving—the chain has opened more than 90 locations in Indiana, Kentucky, Maine, Tennessee and West Virginia—and was recognized as one of the 5,000 fastest growing companies in the U.S. by Inc. magazine.
