Michigan Legislature Passes Teen Tanning Law

The Michigan Legislature passed HB 4146 last week, a bill which seeks to regulates tanning salons by requiring:

• On-site parental consent for anyone under 18
• Larger warning signs in tanning facilities listing potential health consequences
• A signed informed consent form for all customers.

The bill was introduced by Rep. Frank Accavitti (D-Eastpointe) and now heads to Gov. Jennifer Granholm for her signature.
