Helios LLC will host its 2008 “Race to Success” User Conference at the Crowne Plaza Indianapolis Downtown-Union Station from July 23-25, with the culmination being held at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway on July 25. The user conference will differ from traditional industry events such as symposiums and trade shows by featuring breakout sessions addressing a variety of financial-, business- and employee-related topics led by industry-leading experts. Combining the practical application of financial, employee and business principles with the benefits of technology and expertise represents a dynamic expansion in the industry’s level of professionalism and success. The event will consist of three large conference sessions and nine smaller breakout sessions during the two-day period, then segue into an exciting wrap-up session in the Helios corporate suite at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway during the Brickyard 400 qualifications. Attendance includes pit passes for a behind-the-scenes tour of the world-famous racetrack. Attendees can expect a warm reception on the evening of July 23 with an informal meet-and-greet. In addition to the reception dinner, the entire conference—including the trackside event—will be catered. Courtesy transportation will be provided to and from the hotel and the racetrack. “This event will not only offer salon owners a great opportunity to learn from the top industry experts, but the day at the track will showcase all of the things that make Indianapolis a great city,” says John Hurley, Helios sales and marketing manager. The event will feature speakers such as Rick Berman of Berman and Co. and Matt Russell from the International Smart Tan Network. In addition, Gary Timpe—a practicing attorney and CPA, as well as an adjunct professor of accounting at Marian University in Indianapolis—will speak about finance management, and Gary Geels from Landmark Clearing will discuss the benefits of automated funds processing. “This event will not only explore future needs of the industry, but it also will focus on how to fully implement many operational, sales and marketing practices to maximize salon revenues and efficiency,” says Bill Pipp, CEO of ETS. “We look forward to making this an annual event for our salon partners.” The event will be sponsored by ETS Tan; Landmark Clearing; Australian Gold; Applied Digital; ExactTarget; Lamb, Little and Co.; M-S Cash Drawer; and many other industry-linked companies.
