Four Seasons Acquires American Sun Systems

Four Seasons Sales & Service announces the expansion of its operation through the acquisition of Greensboro, N.C.-based American Sun Systems, effective July 21.

American Sun was established in 1985 by Chip and Cathy Stroud; Four Seasons in 1984 by Ronnie and Johnny Allen. Both companies share common goals, including a commitment to providing quality products and superior service, developing deep relationships with other businesses in the marketplace, ensuring total customer satisfaction and partnering with salons as they continue to grow.

“Having known Chip and Cathy for most of the 24 years I have been in the tanning industry, there was no doubt in my mind about merging with American Sun Systems; it’s a perfect fit,” says Ronnie Allen, chairman of Four Seasons. “I have the highest respect for them and for their level of integrity. The companies also stress that the acquisition simply translates into giving their customers an even greater selection of equipment, retail products, lamps and parts, knowledge, education and solutions in a broader market base—all backed by two prominent names in the industry.
