ETS Awards 14 ‘5-Star Salons,’ Hosts Auction At Expo

ETS Tan debuted its new “5-Star Salon” award at the 2007 ITA Tanning World Expo. Fourteen ETS salons were recognized from all over the United States, including:

• Seattle Sun Tan with locations throughout Seattle
• Tan Seekers with locations throughout Pennsylvania
• The Bulb Tanning based in Pontiac, Mich.
• Malibu Tan with locations throughout Michigan
• Studio Tan based in Fort Wayne, Ind.
• Soleil O Albuquerque based in Albuquerque, N.M.
• True Colors with locations throughout Indiana
• Endless Summer based in Valdosta, Ga.
• The Tan based in Fishkill, N.Y.
• Lectric Beach Tanning Club with locations throughout Wisconsin
• Sun Coast Tanning based in Fort Myers, Fla.
• Body and Sol Tanning Boutique with locations throughout Virginia
• Club Tan based in Napa, Calif.
• Tuscan Tan based in Cary, Ill.

ETS created the rating to recognize innovative and professional salons that feature indoor tanning, and to commend salons for being established and reputable businesses, for promoting smart tanning in a clean environment staffed by skincare professionals, for carrying quality equipment and products, and for proving that customer service is high on their priority list.

Also at the show, ETS auctioned a Sunstar 432 commercial tanning bed to benefit the American SIDS Institute. The bed, which carries a retail value of $10,000, was purchased by Valerie Michaud from Thatcher, Ariz. for $10,400. The company also auctioned donated Colts memorabilia, including an autographed Peyton Manning football, to raise funds for the charity.
