Despite Warning, Melanotan Is Popular Among British Women

According to ABC News, the unlicensed tanning injection, Melanotan, is catching on among British women and authorities are so concerned about possible side effects that they have issued a warning about the dangers of the drug.

Though Melanotan is not available over-the-counter, users are purchasing the injections online. Currently, the UK's medicine regulator is trying to shut down Web sites that have been selling the unlicensed drug.
