Delaware SB 90 Passed By House

06/23/2009

Delaware SB 90, a bill that would require parental consent for teens between 14 and 18 to tan indoors and would require that children younger than 14 provide a note from a doctor before being allowed to tan, has been unanimously passed by the House, according to a report on DelmarvaNow.com.

The bill—known as the Michelle Rigney Act after a young woman who died from skin cancer—has received mixed reactions from the public and salon owners are wondering how the law would be implemented.
