Team Heartland Midwest Event Was A Success

Despite inclement winter weather, Heartland’s December symposium—the Team Heartland Midwest Event held in Springfield, Ill.—was a success, attracting dozens of salon owners.

The two-day symposium began Friday, Dec. 14 with Smart Tan certification, followed by a reception featuring appetizers, cocktails and bingo.

Saturday morning started with a breakfast buffet while the industry’s top lotion and lamp professionals gave new product presentations. During lunch, attendees were able to watch a fashion show on DVD of Heartland’s 2008 California Clothing Co. line. The afternoon finished with a presentation by Joe Levy on “Tools To Change Tanning’s Culture” and the distribution of several door prizes and giveaways.

Heartland has two more symposiums scheduled—the Team Heartland Southeast Event, Jan. 25-26 in McDonough, Ga., and the Team Heartland Midwest Event, Feb. 1-2 at the company’s headquarters in Lee’s Summit, Mo.
