A growing number of tanning salons are more than just places to get a gorgeous tan; many offer spa-type services to cater to customers who want high-end treatments such as LED light therapy in the convenience of a tanning salon. ProSun® International offers new equipment choices to help salons provide customers with the skin-rejuvenating benefits of light therapy while targeting salons’ core tanning clientele.
New Light Therapy Equipment
Relax, pamper and rejuvenate—these words are becoming synonymous with tanning salons that offer spa services. To help salons cater to customers who want to rejuvenate or repair skin, as well as achieve a great tan, ProSun offers LED facial light therapy in two new tanning beds—the X3 30 SR Plus and X5 34 SR Plus.
“LED light therapy is generating great excitement among consumers and tanning salon owners, and ProSun designed these new units to help salons capture this growing market,” says Philip Doffegnies, vice president of the St. Petersburg, Fla.-based company.
The units can be used for tanning, tanning in combination with LED light therapy, or LED light therapy alone; giving both customers and salons a variety of treatment and pricing options.
ProSun also has implemented a phototherapy solution for its entry-level tanning units including the Onyx 28 SR; which instead of using an LED panel has several red-wavelength tube lamps that produce skin-rejuvenating results similar to LED light.
“Our light therapy units satisfy customer demand for light therapy and provide an additional lucrative revenue stream for salons and endow them with a positive image as providers of a luxury skin-improving service typically only associated with spas and other wellness companies,” he says.
The units also have optional features including aromatherapy to help salons create an authentic spa environment to further distinguish themselves from competitors.
The New X10 Series
ProSun prides itself on supplying new, cutting-edge equipment technology and its new X10 Series is evidence of the speed with which it can bring the newest scientific advancements to market.
The series features 10-minute exposure times, futuristic designs, high-pressure lamps and standard luxury options and is the latest in the ProSun X Series that also includes the X7, X5 and X3 series models.
“The X10 is our newest high-end series and represents a whole new look for ProSun,” Doffegnies says.
The company is so positive about the merits of the progressive equipment it wants potential customers to have a first-hand look, and on some occasions will fly qualified customers to visit the company’s facility for a personal tour.
“Not everyone has the opportunity to go to industry trade shows to see the latest equipment first-hand, so bringing them here is a good opportunity to connect with them,” he says. “When they see the entire ProSun equipment line up close including the new stand-up series they say, ‘Wow’ and really understand what we mean by ‘cutting-edge design’.”
The Future
The company has a proven commitment to the long-term financial success of its salon customers and plans to keep providing tanning equipment for its core business while keeping on eye on the future to provide salons with innovative equipment choices, such as light therapy.
“Our No. 1 goal is to help our salon customers succeed,” Doffegnies says. “It’s our job to anticipate future trends in this industry and help salons be competitive by providing equipment that offers their customers the utmost pleasurable experience.”
