This month marks our Annual Lotion Issue. The following pages provide you with a taste of some of the most popular lotions available for the 2002 tanning season from some of your favorite suppliers.

California Tan

California Tan presents six new products this season that not only will capture the attention of salon professionals and tanning customers alike, but also have the long-term success-potential to become staples of the California Tan line and create extraordinary sales for salon owners.

Australian Gold

A revolutionary spray-on facial bronzer is the newest addition to the Swedish Beauty line of sunless tanning products. Swedish Beauty Bronze Faces Sunless Instant Dark Tanning Systme is a unique blend of natural-looking, sunless bronzers for the face and neck.

Body Invest, LLC

Body Invest's Bio-Glo formula is bio-engineered to infuse skin with the essentials believed to be necessary in melanin production while delivering the latest in epidermal care. Matahari

Custom HBC Corporation

Adding to its vast selection of private label products, Custom HBC offers two new premium body bronzers. The Ultra Hot Action Bronzer combines level 4+ tingle power with deep bronzing action, while the Ice Bronzer cools the skin while providing maximum bronzing power.

Both products contain premium levels of tyrosine, natural extracts and vitamins A,D and E for maximum tanning performance and skincare.

Aloha Tan Supply, Inc.

Aloha Tan introduces its new Aloha Kalei, a non-tingle Stage 9+ tanning formula that features Hawaiian hemp and natural plant extracts. "Kalei" is derived from the Hawaiian language meaning beautiful flower.

The actibronze complex increases melanin production creating a faster tan, while vitamins A,C and E--the free radical scavengers--help reduce fine lines and wrinkles. The formula features colorful packaging and an appealing fragrance

Formulated Solutions

Technique Labs, a division of Formulated Solutions, LLC, introduces Green Tea, a new Polyphenol antioxidant-enriched product. This latest addition to its innovative family of products is unique thanks to a new more bio-available form of elemental Copper that the parent company Formulated Solutions co-researched with a globally known pharmaceutical company this past year.

Glimra-Nutralabs

Glimra's entire line of natural tanning creams represents a scientific approach to all-natural tanning. The formulas contain nature's most-powerful, proven and safe tanning accelerator botanicals and nutrients, says the company. These synergistic formulas also represent breakthrough advances in deep skin moisturizing that help protect the skin from premature aging. The company offers a tanning cream, bronzer and facial moisturizer for every tanner.

John Abat--JA Tanning Basics

Get back to basics with JA's Tanning Basics Bronzer Tingle-Free Tanning Accelerator. The formula is specially formulated for all skin types to establish a base tan or enhance an existing tan.

The natural, non-dyeing bronzing agent provides immediate visual results and allows for smoother, more even application. Scented with a light, clean fragrance suitable for all tanners. The formula features moisturizing ingredients that deeply nourish as this Tyrosine-rich lotion promotes abundant melanin production for effective tanning action.

Olio

Unveiled in February, the new Olio lotions blend contemporary packaging and rich, defined European oils with the most sophisticated tan-accelerating ingredients available. Olio's powerful dark tanning lotion promotes extravagantly dark bronze color while retaining the benefits of the natural beauty oils associated with the Mediterranean.

Power Tan

Power Tan sails into the 2002 tanning season with its complete line of tanning products from its popular Power Tan, Liquid Sun, Rain Drops and Femme Fatale lines. Flavours

Flavours serves up its lip-smacking treat with Key Lime Smoothie, a refreshing blend that mixes a frosty cold tingle with an iridescent shimmer and a zesty citrus fragrance for decadent tan results. Also extremely popular this season is Double Dutch Fondue, featuring skin-stimulating bronzers and natural exotic moisturizers.

Dr. Sun

Coming off a highly successful first year, Dr. Sun writes the order for the 2002 tanning season with its Prescription #77 Dr. Sun Copper Glaze. The UV magnification of its Power Gelle formula, combined with the intense deep dark moisturization of its Copper Mud Cream, allow the skin to achieve a darker, moister and healthier-looking tan. The formula is supercharged with L-Tyrosine, shimmering shea butter, nine natural bronzers and vitamins A, B, C and E.

Tropical Seas

Tropical Seas adds to its successful tanning products with this season's newest hit--Swedish Tanning Secret Butter, an original formula revamped for the serious tanner. The 3-ounce formula is a blend of professional tanning ingredients with nature's rich conditioning butters and emollients. The formula is triple rich in natural moisturizers including coconut oil, cocoa butter and shea butter.

Kava Kava International

Kava Kava International products offers a dynamic accelerating complex of soy extract, tyrosine and aloe vera gel. The formulas--which are rich in moisture and offer dark tanning results--include Escape, Blue Wave, Rapture, Purple Rain, Taboo, Tea Tree, Kool, Kava Kava, Tropical Mist, Sea Salt Scrub, Wett and Dusk.

Biddiscombe Laboratories

Valiant is the newest member to the Conquer family of tanning lotions. The formula is designed to take tanners beyond their tanning plateaus. The epidermal and thermal stimulation sends diehard tanners screaming for more. Fortified with high levels of glucose tyrosinate and the B.L. Bronzing complex that delivers immediate results with a lavish, soft feel to the skin.

Bask

Marshmallow and Marshmallow Plus from Bask have received phenomenal reviews this season. Reformulated, these air-infused foamers combine incredible packaging, a new cucumber-melon fragrance and more active ingredients for all tanners.

Both products penetrate the skin with lightning speed, leaving it with a sheen of intense moisture. Marshmallow and Marshmallow Plus contain clear, streak-free bronzers and high levels of extra virgin hemp seed oil, marshmallow extract, vitamins, botanicals and L-tyrosine.

Marshmallow is a tingle-free experience, while Marshmallow Plus features a demanding tingle for the more avid tanner.

Millennium Tanning Products

Millennium Tanning Products presents Lumina, one of the strongest, most-effective Level 10-Plus accelerator with bronzers available on the market. The formula's cool-plex bronzing technology enhances and extends tanning radiance with long-lasting natural bronzers.

Refreshing peppermint extract leaves skin fresh, cool and rejuvenated. Lumina also contains Millennium's Aurafresh Plus antibacterial agent that eliminates the after-tan odor and is highly effective at eliminating unwanted white spots.

Tanline Inc. (Nuvo Bronz)

Nuvo Bronz offers a complete line of tanning products for every tanner's needs. Finding great success this season is Cocoa Bronzing Crme, a premium dark tanning formula enriched with glimmering bronzers. The 3-in-1 formula accelerates, moisturizes and bronzes instantly to accelerate the tanning process and moisturize skin. The streak-free formula does not stain hands, towels or clothes.

Elements Products

Elements' Doublez L'incendie "Double The Fire" combines the ultimate in technology for dark tanning. High-quality enriched grape seed oil--known for its phenomenal soothing and healing effects on the skin--joins with rich amounts of vitamins A and E for maximum skin hydration. A touch of calendula provides added healing properties to the mix.

Doublez L'incendie Level 9 is one of the hottest tingle lotions on the market to date and was developed for the hard-core tanner looking for serious epidermal and thermal stimulation.

Mediterranean

Mediterranean revs up 2002 with its Cool Cruisin' Dark Tanning Lotion that unlocks the shimmering treasure of a beautiful tan. Cool bronzers, blended with hemp seed oil and subtle luminescence, round out the tan.

Emerald Bay

Emerald Bay dives into the 2002 tanning season with an exciting new look, complete with new packaging, spirited tanning concoctions and a more youthful, spirited style.

New to the line this season is Margarita Madness, a shimmering tanning cocktail; Sunburst Sorbet, a freshly scented bronzing cocktail; Mojo Darkening Sauce, a powerful skin-stimulating lotion with Tropical Heat Level 7; and Agave Twister Lip Balm SPF 15.

Hoss Sauce

Hoss Sauce rounds up the tanning posse with Silver Strike, which now includes ultra-rich hemp seed oil that contains high levels of omega oils, essential fatty acids and the nutrients needed to keep skin in ideal condition.

The formula, which can be used indoors or outdoors, includes L-tyrosine, vitamins A and E, natural botanicals and free-radical fighting antioxidants. The formula does not contain sunscreen or mineral oils, has not been tested on animals and is tanning bed safe.

Surfside

Surfside's Sea Garden Aquatanical Therapy Moisturizing Lotion continues its popularity into the '02 tanning season. Loaded with sea extracts, amino acids and vitamins, the therapeutic moisturizer not only softens the skin, but according to the company, also increases the ability to retain a dark, healthy tan.

Squeeze Tanning Products

Squeeze introduces Twist, a unique blend of bronzers and hot-action accelerators. This exciting new lotion contains the company's patented Tyro-Twist, an innovative multi-colored blend that swirls the purple and green lotion together for sheer tanning perfection.

Twist contains all-natural walnut oil bronzers, methyl nicotinate and benzyl nicotinate for twice the hot-action bronzing power. The addition of biosaccharide gum eliminates the after-tan odor and helps eliminate the unwanted white spots. The formula is loaded with vitamins B, C and E, aloe vera gel, shea butter and sweet almond oil.

Kukuii

Kukuii debuts its line of products for the 2002 tanning season. The company offers Point Break, Dark Island, Purple Haze and Spring Break 2K2. Look for additional product releases later this year.

Sun Br

Sun Br products offers a complete line of accelerators, intensifiers, maximizers and after-tan skincare products designed specifically for the indoor tanner. Sun Br products feature a level system based on the percentage of active ingredients in the formulas. The company offers tingle, non-tingle and cooling products.

Vital Performance HP 2000

Vital Performance/HP 2000 pulls out all the stops with the availability of its Rated R. The sensuous, shimmering, hot action formula contains luxurious marine Chitosin and Hemp Seed Oil to nourish the condition the skin, leaving it with a deep, dark and exotic tan.

Ms. Suncare

Ms. Demeanor Dark Tanning Lotion helps tanners exceed the legal limits of bronzing. This tingle-free cool formula 80 combines the strongest bronzers ever with subtle shimmering highlights and will make noise in 2002.

Performance Brands, Inc./Pro Tan

Performance Brands/Pro Tan features Tribal Heat, a unique, non-staining, instant bronzing formula that provides fiery hot-action results combined with rich moisturizers for soft-feeling skin both during and after tanning.

A fragrance of luscious raspberry, juicy pineapple and a touch of musky marine makes Tribal Heat ideal for men and women.

Sun Trends

Sun Trends offers its most popular lotion--Sun Cola. The hot bronzing formula is designed for dark tanning results and is enriched with the highly active antioxidant CoQ10 to combat skin aging and wrinkling.

Tanner's Creek (Heartland Tanning)

Fool's Gold is the most recent addition to the Tanner's Creek line of tanning lotions. The formula is available in tingle and non-tingle formulas and contains maximum levels of bronzers and a hint of shimmer to put the finishing touch on any golden tan.

Other members of the Tanner's Creek family include Dark Tanning Lotion, Dark Tanning Blend, Hot Dam, Hot Bronzing Mud, Super Hydrator and an SPF.

All Hours International Tanning Distribution

All Hours presents a savagely fierce tanning formula in Tribal Tan. Secret bronzing complex provides an immediate dark golden brown color while the pleasant scent leaves tanners refreshed. CoQ10 and hemp seed oil enrich the skin with exceptional care.

Kashmre Skin Care

Kashmre Mineral Salt Rub features a refreshing tangerine-lavender scent and is a rich blend of essential plant oils that clears away dead flakes of skin and restores the moisture to your skin. Kashmre Moisturizing Crme is mixed with lavish blends of exotic oils of sesame and avocado to soothe and soften skin and restore a youthful look and feel.

R-Sun Tanning Products

Loca

Loca Suncare highlights its new Vida Loca Cool bronzing formula blended to cool and refresh while providing a bronze tan. The formula is THC-drug free with extra-virgin hemp oil, CoQ10 complex and other great ingredients.

Synergy Tan

Adding to Synergy Tan's successful lotion line is this season's best-seller, Come Hither Shimmer. The hydrating, tantalizing blend of ultra-dark accelerators features virgin hemp infused with a hint of glistening gold. Also available is a special purse-sized packet--in a non-accelerating formula--equipping customers with a sparkle for lips, shoulders or anywhere they want a sheer shimmer to come hither.

Due to popular demand, the company recently added 1-ounce packettes of Come Hither Shimmer.

Tan Life

Tan Life recently introduced its new line of tanning accelerators--Truth, Felony, Misdemeanor and Justice. Justice, a cool action intensifier, is formulated with high levels of unipertan, green tea and hemp seed oil.

Sun Shooters

Adding to Sun Shooters successful lotion line are two new products. Blue Martini is a blend offering a double shot of tanning power and CoQ10 complex. Red Heat is a sizzling bronzer with CoQ10 complex to ignite the way to a beautiful, golden brown tan.

Shark Bite Sun Solutions

New for 2002 is Shark Bite Sun Solutions' lotion line. The lotion line features eight products in three categories--Mako Shark (accelerator lotion), Hammerhead Shark (hot, bronzer lotion) and Body Quench (moisturizer).

These special formulas are designed to provide a faster, darker and longer-lasting tan. Shark Bite Sun Solutions feature unique packaging--the bottle is nestled inside a shark beverage holder.

Satori Sol, Inc

Satori Sol captures the essence of tanning with its line of lotions. glo is a bronzer with tingle; become is a sensual bronzer; beyond is an intense tingle; and, imagine is an exotic accelerator.

Animal Tan

Animal Tan offers a complete lineup of nine indoor tanning lotions. Most popular this season are Rippin Hot Eagle and Cobra Step Lethal.

Rippin Hot Eagle Step 7 lotion is designed for the most advanced tanners who can handle extreme heat sensation. The lotion's formulation provides the deepest, darkest tan while nurturing and moisturizing the skin.

Cobra Step Lethal also is made for the most avid tanners. The formula has an extreme heat sensation necessary to oxygenate the skin and deliver tanning ingredients deep into its lower layers. It also can be treated as a bronzer because of its red henna root, which contributes to the coral-colored lotion and ruby red oil.

Scca Cosmetics

The Scca Cosmetics line features 212 Complex, a technological tanning advancement created solely for the Scca line. It is a perfect blend of the most melanin-producing tyrosines. Rio Tanning Products, Inc.

Due to the success of Body Butter Lotion and Dry Oil, Rio Tanning Products introduces Body Butter Lotion with Bronzers. This non-comedogenic lotion is a natural level 12 dark tanning lotion enhanced with 100-percent pure walnut bronzers. The increased levels of tan-activating ingredients and vitamin E oxidize the melanin quickly for intense tanning. The light butter creme features a fresh clean scent of green apples and delivers an instant, long-lasting tan.

UT Lotions
