According to a recent announcement from the Newspaper Association of America, 59 percent of adults claim the newspaper as their go-to source for planning shopping and purchasing decisions. The research was conducted by MORI, which carried out the survey using phone and Internet surveys of more than 3,000 adults for the Newspaper Association of America.
The survey also found that, as a result of a newspaper advertisement:
- 61 percent clipped a coupon
- 33 percent visited a Web site to learn more
- 50 percent bought something
- 27 percent tried something for the first time
