As a business owners, you’ve heard more than a few excuses from employees to explain their tardiness. The typical excuse will involve traffic or lack of sleep, but sometimes, people can get creative. Here are some of CNN’s top excuses—and yes, they were all really heard by some employer somewhere:
- I was locked in the trunk by my son.
- I was attacked by a raccoon and I had to stop at the hospital to make sure it wasn’t rabid.
- My driveway washed away in last night’s rain.
- My husband hid my keys.
- My heat was off so I had to stay home and keep my snake warm.
