The predictions of the domino effect of the Big Three going bankrupt have begun, as Senate stalls on the proposed bailout.

The three major auto manufacturers employ nearly 240,000 workers, while those directly affected by their bankruptcy—companies that supply the Big Three with everything from parts such as seats to hoses—employ another 600,000.

These auto-part suppliers won’t be the only ones to suffer, says BusinessWeek. Another 57,000 small businesses could be affected, including their combined 3 million workers, with an average salary of $47,000.
