SUN Ergoline

SUN Ergoline is changing the way the world tans with the availability of its V.I.T. 2.3--Very Intense High Pressure Tanning Technology.

SUN Ergoline's exclusive V.I.T. 2.3 System is configured with the tanning lamps are positioned vertically--not horizontally. The vertical positioning of the lamp forces the light and heat generated by the lamp toward the unit's patented, geometrically etched glass reflectors.

The exclusive geometric etching allows much of the infrared and thermal heat, as well as unnecessary light waves, to pass into the unit's air-cooled, internal chamber. This heat is then exhausted from the system. Only the effective portions of the "Tanning Action Spectrum" are reflected forward, toward the tanning customer.

The balanced wavelength of the Tanning Action Spectrum is then purified as it passes through the one-piece, chemically etched V.I.T. 2.3 filter glass. This process removes remaining stray light and unnecessary segments of the spectrum.

Since, the UV tanning energy created by the V.I.T. 2.3 is produced via reflected light, the output is naturally cooler, more consistent and more effective, says the company.

puretan International

puretan International, Inc.'s secret to tanning starts with its line of high-quality lamps. The company's popular VHO reflector series, Spectralarium VHO/R+ and Spectralarium VHO/RF+ lamps lead the charge with intense tanning power.

The Spectralarium VHO/R+ lamp features a 180-degree reflector and 160 watts of power with a unique blend of phosphors and high-output capabilities. The lamp is designed with a wider reflector opening, ensuring amplified tanning due to the overlapping output of adjacent lamps. This unique innovation provides the best possible tan in used in conjunction with high-pressure units developed by puretan.

The Spectralarium VHO/RF+ 160-watt dual-color, partial reflector, low-pressure facial design complements the VHO line. Developed for those clients who prefer facial tanning, these lamps eliminate the need for expensive, short-life quartz.

Cosmedico Light, Inc.

Cosmedico announced the first production run of its new CosmoLux VHR TT in March. The new lamp uses the base phosphor of its VHR combined with a very stable UVB-emitting phosphor, resulting in a lamp with the same superb tanning ability as the VHR with a bit more punch.

According to the company, the VHR TT was a bit behind schedule for the season, but it needed four pilot runs to get the formulation that met Cosmedico's very precise specifications.

The VHR TT has an effective irradiance that is 10 percent greater and, therefore, an exposure time that is 10 percent shorter than the standard VHR. This makes the VHR TT fully compatible with the VHR, which is widely acclaimed as being the most-effective sunlamp ever produced, says the company. The VHR TT is aggressive, but will satisfy those salon owners looking for a lamp with a bit more UVB kick.
