2nd Annual Event Draws Huge Attendance
Four Seasons Sales & Service held its 2nd Annual Educational Symposium at the Marriott Coolsprings Conference Center Feb. 9-11, 2001, drawing more than 350 attendees to the three-day event.
Realizing that education is a key element in the continued success of the indoor tanning industry, Four Seasons strives to provide give salon owners with opportunities to further their education in every aspect of the tanning sector. With this in mind, Four Seasons has committed to having Educational Symposiums geared solely toward education.
Jenny Bolton, publisher of LOOKING FIT Magazine, was on hand for the second straight year as the only trade magazine represented at the event.
On Feb. 9, Smart Tan held a full-day certification class, which was sponsored by John Abat International. During the certification, JA's Tim Luff had the opportunity to speak to attendees about the company's 2001 product lineup.
On Feb. 10-12, Four Seasons held multiple one-hour classes during the morning. Classes consisted of a group discussion about product diversion, as well as product training from California Tan, Australian Gold, Swedish Beauty, MOST Products and Eye Pro. Additional classes included New Age Marketing, The Psychology of Indoor Tanning, Lamp Training, Equipment Maintenance and Staff Motivation. During the afternoons, salon owners were able to walk the show floor and receive one-on-one information and lotion samples from exhibitors.
Companies exhibiting at the symposium included America's Best Choice, Australian Gold, Body Drench, Body Invest, California Tan, Cliff Weil Sunglasses, Designer Skin, Express Walls, Eye Pro, International Tan, Island Heat, Jantec Neon Products, John Abate International, LOOKING FIT Magazine, Lucas Products, Performance Brands, Power Tan, SUN Ergoline, Supre, Surfside, Swedish Beauty, Synergy, Tan Inc., Tropical Seas and Vital Performance/HP2000.
