Celsius Franchising

Celsius asks salons to find out about its state-of-the-art private label tanning beds that are available by becoming a Celsius Tannery franchise. The Celsius 32 and Celsius 52 are 160-watt VHR top and bottom units that feature maximum tanning times of seven minutes. The company also offers a high-pressure standup unit with a maximum time of 15 minutes.

Heartland Tanning

Heartland Tanning introduces all new equipment under the America's best tan by Heartland name featuring an updated look and product enhancements.

The new 2m booth features a 10-minute session time and is equipped with 46 180-watt 2-meter lamps. The lamps are not staggered, but run the full length of the booth which measures 95 inches in height--five inches longer than its Sundazzler VHR booth. The unit is cobalt blue with a marbleized look and chrome handles.

The new 164/4 unit is silver/gray in color and features a 12-minute tanning time. The unit is equipped with 44 Cosmolux VHR lamps on top and bottom (24 on top and 20 on bottom) and a 500-watt ballast facial system with four 500-watt Philips facial lamps.

Team Tan/Sportarredo

Team Tan/Sportarredo revs up the new tanning season with the introduction of some exciting new tanning units for the U.S. market.

The Golden Sun is the second edition to Team Tan's new Solar Sport series and is manufactured by Sportarredo. Captivating colors and shapes are combined with exceptional performance. The Golden Sun features 36 160-watt rapid lamps and three 630-watt high-pressure facials, an electric lift, built-in AM/FM cassette stereo and a climate-control comfort system.

The Blue Moon features an elegant and careful design with excellent performance and is distinguished by innovative coloring and an improved system for body ventilation. The Blue Moon features 44 160-watt rapid lamps, two 630-watt and two 1,530-watt high-pressure facials.

ACN

ACN systems of Belgium is proud to introduce the SOLART tanning bed to the American market. The SOLART is the result of 20 years of manufacturing excellence by ACN, one of the largest producers of sunbeds in Europe.

This high-performance bed consists of all-metal construction and a high-quality electrostatically applied lacquer. The 10-minute session bed uses Cosmedico VHR lamps and is digitally controlled by a central user-friendly console. puretan introduces the Sun Portal, Titan Sun, Solar Gate, TanScene 57 and Ellipse IV to its 2002 equipment lineup.

The Sun Portal system allows clients the opportunity to custom design their own systems and is configured to accept high-pressure, VHO, HO and cooling fan cassettes. If a client purchases a Sun Portal tanning system in a desired output configuration and decides to change that output design, they simply can install a new configuration. If clients are uncomfortable with the operating temperature of a bed, a simple fan cassette can be added to allow additional cooling. On the other hand, if a salon owner purchases a high-pressure tanning system but decides it is not a benefit to the salon, he or she can replace either all or a portion of the cassettes, altering the lamp configuration to meet specific needs.

Dr. Kern USA

Dr. Kern USA, Inc. introduces its all-new VIVA Series, which combines state-of-the-art design features with innovative open equipment architecture.

The V4 VHR model is available in platinum-silver or gold-nugget and comes equipped with 56 lamps and incorporates proprietary (PFT) Pro Fast Tan facial technology enhanced by vapor-coated filters. This new facial technology absorbs excess heat and provides maximum tanning results while offering the ultimate in comfort, says the company. Each unit is equipped with built-in A/C and an integrated shoulder/neck tanner in the bench.

The ergonomically molded bench acrylic is designed with a 2.5-degree slope to conform to a tanner's body and provide a relaxing session. International Tanning Equipment--HEX

If you are looking for a standup to round out your salon's equipment options, take a look at ITE, the first domestic manufacturer of UVA tanning systems. The company created the world's first vertical tanning system and called it HEX in 1979.
