Seven out of nine San Antonio, Texas-based DarqueTan tanning salons experienced a mass theft before business was slated to begin on Thursday, Jan. 14. All indications point to an inside job, as one of the robbers was equipped with knowledge of how to deactivate the alarm in several of the salons, as well as knowing secret codes and the location of money being kept there.

Beyond cash, tanning products and computer equipment was also stolen, adding up to a sizeable amount of loss.

The property manager reports that the majority of the salons were burglarized in two minutes or less. The thief used the main entrance and departed out the back, where an accomplice was waiting in a vehicle for the escape. Security cameras reveal the vehicle may be a dark Jeep Liberty.

Surveillance cameras also captured footage of the criminal, who had a ponytail and was wearing a large hooded sweatshirt and dark clothing.

A reward is being offered for anyone who has information on the case.
