Times may be tough, but California tanning salon owner Pennie Curet is focused on helping others this holiday season. It’s been a year since she and her husband Luis adopted a little girl named Jordyn, and thanks in part to all the joy they’ve gotten from their daughter, they want to help other children. Curet is partnering with Hope Kids, which works specifically with foster kids.
Located in Costa Mesa and Irvine, Calif., the two Electric Beach Tanning Spas will serve as a collection point for donations. With a vision to touch the lives of 100 kids, Curet says, “We are collecting unwrapped toys, blankets, stuffed animals, gift cars, movie certificates and more for kids from age 3 months to 19 years.”
The effort runs through Tuesday, Dec. 15.
