Jerry O'Hanley proposed a resolution at the annual meeting of the Medical Society of Prince Edward Island, Canada, recommending the province ban tanners under the age of 18, CBSNews.ca reports. The motion passed.
According to the report, O'Hanley also said he would like the province to go even further in regulating the beds and require customers to sign a consent form acknowledging they are aware of the risks.
