Nicki Flora and Jimmy Distasio, owners of Succasunna, N.J.-based Copper Tans, held their 2nd Annual “Copper Tans Hottie Contest” in July. Sixteen contestants competed for the coveted title and the winner, Tabitha Maroldi, walked away with more than $5,000 in cash and prizes (including a one-year modeling contract and a two-hour portfolio session with Red Crane Photography.)

The event took place at Pub 66 in Dover and was hosted by 20 Pack, from VH1's reality shows "I Love Money" and "I Love New York." More than 500 people showed up to watch the models strut their stuff. Meanwhile, the Copper Tans employees—who were body painted by Pure Ink Tattoos—walked around handing out free lotions and free tan certificates. Overall, they gave away $2,500 in tans and over $1,000 in tanning lotions.

Event sponsors included Devoted Creations, Pure Ink Tattoos, Nars Cosmetics and Jack Tremour Motorcycle.

"I honestly cannot thank Devoted Creations enough for the support they have shown to our business,” Flora says. “Every time I have asked them to sponsor an event, they come through bigger and better than I could even imagine. Danielle [Ardito] was so helpful with the process—she made it so easy. And, let me tell you, when I say the crowd went insane to get free lotion bottles, samples and apparel, it’s the truth—we couldn’t believe it. A huge thank-you to Devoted Creations for playing such a big role in making this event a success."
