You can get it from the sun for free. Get 15 minutes of sun exposure daily when the sun is not at its peak; don't use sunscreen. If you'd rather supplement, take vitamin D3 a.k.a. cholecalciferol. Dose: 2,000 to 5,000 IUs daily.
