John Abate has entrusted his son, Frank, with the leadership of Abate LLC. Frank Abate assumes the titles of CEO and president, effective immediately. In addition, the company announces the following personnel changes:
- Richard Rubin is now the vice president of communications and business development; and
- Carolyn Abate is now the director of administration.
John Abate will continue to provide guidance to the leadership team, becoming chief executive officer emeritus (CEOE) and president emeritus.
“I am both humbled and excited to accept the leadership of Abate, especially during this time of economic challenge,” Frank Abate says. “We have learned much through hardship. Adversity has made us stronger, more resourceful and even more in tune with salon owners. We will maintain the John Abate brand of products and introduce new brands to diversify and stimulate the growth of Abate—and one of our priorities will be updated packaging. I invite salon owners to join us in Las Vegas to see our new look and become part of our growing family.”
The lotion manufacturer will officially debut its logo and newest lotion, Quintessential, at its booth at the 2nd annual West Coast Tanning Expo this June.
