The ITA is pleased to announce that the 2008 election for the ITA Board of Director’s was a great success. All of the candidates ran strong campaigns and the races were close throughout the entire election process.

“There were very exiting and closely fought contests in the Salon Sector, as well as in the Lotion and Equipment Manufacturing Sectors,” says John Overstreet, executive director of the ITA. “It is gratifying to see so many people who want to get involved. All of these individuals have worked very hard to build this industry and I know the ITA will be well-served with them on the board. It is also a pleasure to welcome Susan Miller (PC Marketing) back to the board. She was a founding member of the ITA and a leader in setting the association’s initial goals.”

The ITA congratulates the following board members on being elected and reelected:

Allied Products Sector
Jim Shepherd, Sperti Sunlamps (Crescent Springs, Ky.)

Distributor Sector
Karen Bentlage, Future Industries (Stratford, Conn.)

Equipment Manufacturers Sector
Greg Henson, Heartland Tanning Inc. (Lee's Summit, Mo.)
Susan Miller, PC Marketing (Ridgefield, N.J.)

Lotion Providers Sector
Lewis Henry, Devoted Creations (Oldsmar, Fla.)

Salon Sector
Dan Caskey, Cincinnati Tan (Cincinnati, Ohio)
Tony Hartl, Planet Tan (Garland, Texas)
Dan Humiston, Tanning Bed Inc. (West Seneca, N.Y.)
Rick Kueber, Sun Tan City (Elizabethtown, Ky.)

In related developments, the board has appointed Marty Gallagher (Sun Tan Supply) and Kevin Apgar (Cosmedico) to fill the unexpired terms created when Chip Stroud (American Sun Systems) and Jerry Frank (Cosmedico) resigned.
